We’re still encountering SO MANY in/out lists. We’ve lol’d at some, and saved others, but ultimately noticed that few reflect on the predictions of years prior. Before revealing our thoughts on the year ahead (yes, we know it’s already mid-January), we wanted to take about 100 words to reflect. Doing so isn’t a validation exercise—having a ‘spot on’ take doesn’t make you a certified “tastemaker” or ahead of the zeitgeist—but we feel it’s important to circle back and see what moved the needle (see #5) as we enter this next year together.
